The KIIT National Moot Court Competition has long been the flagship event of KIIT School of Law, with eight successful physical editions and one online edition held during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2025, as we proudly celebrate a decade of mooting excellence, we are honoured to announce the launch of the 1st KIIT International Moot Court Competition in association with the Nani Palkhivala Arbitration Centre (NPAC) as our Knowledge and Academic Partner.
The 1st KIIT International Moot Court Competition, 2025 marks ~A Decade of Mooting Excellence~ in physical mode, in all its grandeur and glory to uphold the reputation we have created through the previous editions. In continuation of this endeavour of ours, this year, we are to host an Arbitration-centric event which allows both domestic and international teams to participate in the upcoming edition. For the 1st KIIT International Moot Court Competition, 2025, we expect to witness excellence and enterprise from budding legal talent from all across the globe
All participating teams are required to complete the Provisional Registration Form by providing all necessary details. The form can be accessed at the following link: Provisional registration. The Moot Proposition, Rulebook, Event Timeline, proposition and other relevant documents are available on the official website.
Final Registration: Upon completing the provisional registration, teams must proceed with the Final Registration by 5th July 2025. The Final Registration Form is available at Final registration. As part of this process, teams are required to upload a scanned bonafide certificate issued by their institution and pay the registration fee, which is ₹8,000 for national teams and $150 for international teams. All further details regarding the competition are comprehensively outlined in the Rulebook available on the website.
Once a Team registers by completing the formalities given in the Rules of the Competition, a code (hereinafter “Team Code”) shall be assigned to the Team by 21st July, 2025.
A Team that has registered pursuant to the Rules of the Competition may change its composition only after informing the Organizing Committee. Participating team may alter their composition by upon the discretion of the Organising Committee. i.e. the Researcher may volunteer to be the Speaker and vice-versa only through a formal request to the Organising Committee’s email. Each Team shall send a soft copy of the Memorial for each side in PDF and Microsoft Word (.docx/.doc) formats, via e-mail, on or before 28 July 2025 (23:59 IST).
Any submission made after 28 July 2025 (23:59 IST) will be considered late submission and shall be penalized in accordance with Rule 16 of the Rules of the Competition, unless an extension has been provided by the Organising Committee before hand;
All Teams are required to submit eight (8) hard copies of the Memorials for each side (8 for the Claimant and 8 for the Respondent) at the following address:

All Teams should ensure that their hard copies reach the Organizing Committee by 29th August 2025(19:00 IST).
The hard copies are mandatorily to be spiral bound. The hard copies shall be exactly similar to the soft copy. Any changes in the hard copy vis-à-vis the soft copy, irrespective of the magnitude, will entail disqualification. The decision of the Organising Committee shall be conclusive in this regard;
Teams are to submit a cover letter along with the hard copy of the Memorials. The cover letter should specify the Team Code assigned to such Team, details of the Team members and the College/University/Institution represented;
The registration fee for the competition is ₹8,000 for national teams and $150 for international teams. The registration fee shall be non-refundable and paid by all teams irrespective of their participation in the Oral Rounds.
Registration Fees are inclusive of accommodation. Accommodation shall be provided on a first-come-first-serve basis to the teams as per the Accommodation Plan form availability.

The Competition is open to all students, enrolled bonafide on a regular basis in an undergraduate law course or its equivalent conducted by any recognized College/ Institution/ University.
Each Team shall comprise of three members; two members shall be designated as Speakers and the third member shall be designated as a Researcher.
